On Saturday May 26 the staff of Ecce Homo with the two local communities of Notre Dame de Sion and Chemin Neuf gathered in Salle de Sion to give thanks for Trudy’s 50 years commitment in Sion. Trudy shared a little of her initial and ongoing call to and in Sion and her journey over this half a century of service and especially the past 16 years lived in Ecce Homo and what this call had meant for her to be called to Jerusalem. – Read the rest
We gathered together in Jerusalem from 10-18 May 2012 for the second international meeting of Our Lady of Sion schools. Three years ago in Strasbourg, we had dreamed of returning to our roots, by going to Jerusalem together. Each year on the first Friday of Lent we, at Ecce Homo have the tradition of commemorating the Crowning with Thorns. It is a very solemn and impressive ceremony. Usually the Latin Pariarch of Jerusalem, Fuad Twal presides at this ceremony. However, this year it coincided with the installation of Archbishop Maroun Lahlam who was named by Pope Benedict XVI, as Auxiliary Bishop and Patriarchal Vicar of Amman. – Read the rest
