The three sisters: Sr. Faiza, Sr. Marie Carmen and Sr. Wafaa in Alexandria try to live their vocation by working in the fields of education and human development, especially with the poor: literacy classes for adults with Caritas, helping some pupils to upgrade their language lessons and in their small hostel welcoming young Christian women who are university students from Upper Egypt and the Delta. During the summer holidays: welcoming groups of children of not more than twenty each for a few days of organized sessions away from their inner city environment or from Upper Egypt.
Through these various forms of personal educational and social activities the sisters try to pass on Biblical values such as a sense of the dignity of the human person, the cry for justice, reconciliation and forgiveness.
Today, this is ecumenism in everyday life to live with joy and simplicity in the big city of Alexandria, a city with its important library and its open and hospitable diverse population in culture and religion.
