Within the Old City Walls, near the Damascus Gate and its “sook” (bazaars), the Ecce Homo Convent brings you right away into the heart of Jerusalem. From the terraces of the Convent which over look the Temple Area with the Dome of the Rock, the Western Wall and the Holy Sepulchre, the pilgrims enjoy a magnificent view over all the Old City and the hills surrounding Jerusalem.

The Convent offers to pilgrims:

  • The presence of two communities to welcome you.
  • Accommodation for groups and individual pilgrims.
  • Historical and archaeological remains as well as Holy Site: This includes the Lithostrotos, the Strouthion Pool, the Basilica of the Crowning of Thorns and the Ecce Homo Arch.
  • Places for silent prayer, for Eucharistic celebrations, and the liturgy of the Passion and Resurrection of Our Lord.

The members of the communities, the volunteers and the staff willingly offer guests their knowledge and experience of the country and its peoples, to help them make their visit to the Holy Land a memorable one.

The service is simple and welcoming. Single, double, triple, quadruple rooms and cubicle dormitories are available.

There is a liturgy given in the Convent.

The Convent is also a Centre for Biblical Formation.
